Chi Gung or qigong is the basis of taichi. Its postures and movements provide a gentle form of exercise that is both relaxing and energising.
In taichi the exercises are practised in sequence to promote wellbeing and a balanced approach to life.
Clive Tempest uses chi gung as a practice for living more consciously and helps you appreciate the principles encoded in the taichi forms.
These principles are founded in the ancient wisdom of taoist sages and can still guide us day to day.

The Hestercombe Chi Gung Group meets at Cheddon Fitzpaine on Wednesday mornings throughout the year.
Taichi is traditionally practised outdoors in settings of natural beauty and so the group also meets on Saturdays in Hestercombe Gardens from Easter to October.

Beginners Classes or intensive courses are held once or twice a year to introduce newcomers to the basic shibashi exercises and the essential principles of this work.
