The Spring Retreat 2019
Buckland Hall, near Brecon, Wales
Five-day Residential Retreat with Clive Tempest
Sunday 28 April – Thursday 2 May 2019
'We will take our cue from the location of Buckland Hall in the Brecon Beacons National Park. I will show you how the guiding intelligence in us leads us on like a beacon of fire in the night. And we will work with the inner beacon of 'fire in the belly' to discover how it can sustain us in a life of purpose.'
For the Spring retreat we're moving into an established retreat centre in extensive grounds in the lovely valley of the river Usk surrounded by Welsh mountains and forests. Buckland Hall is a fine Victorian mansion with comfortable accommodation in ensuite bedrooms and is known for its vegetarian and vegan cuisine. Read about Buckland Hall, its gardens and the history of the house; it inspired JRR Tolkien to make it Frodo Baggin's home!
Each day there will be a basic chi gung class before breakfast, then a morning session of nei gung meditation or chi breathing exercises or healing sounds. After lunch there will be a talk on conscious living, then later in the afternoon a masterclass for experienced chi gung practitioners, when the focus will be on the power of the dantien. After dinner the work on conscious living will continue with a question and answer session. You may be new to chi gung, or inexperienced, but you could still come to all the sessions except the afternoon masterclasses. There will be the option of free time for walks in the river valley.
